H10 Madison, Barcelona

My husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary and stayed 4 nights in Barcelona prior to a cruise. The H10 Madison was a lovely hotel which was literally a few steps away from the Barcelona Cathedral. Upon arrival we were greeted by a wonderful staff member and the front deck offered complimentary champagne. The shops and delicious bakeries were abundant in the area. I was so pleased with the location. The hotel staff was more than accommodating and pleasant. Everyone was so friendly and eager to assist. The dining area for breakfast was wonderful. They had all you need to fuel up before a big tour day. Our room was great. Bathroom was wonderful. The only suggestion I'd make would be to update the towels. But not a big deal. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the street was very quiet. Ask for a quiet room... they have plenty. The hair dryer was awesome. I never had to use mine...it was heavy duty! ( FYI bring a plug-in night light for the bathroom along with your electric adapter!) We arranged tours each day and relaxed on the roof top at the end of the day with beautiful views of the cathedral. The martini's were delicious! We will definitely recommend. A great Choice! We enjoyed a beautiful 3 night stay in this hotel in October. Customer service is outstanding, and the condition of the hotel is fantastic. The rooms are large by European standards, and the location is perfect, plenty to see and do within an easy walking distance. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I've ever experienced. The rooftop bar/patio should not be missed, great spot for a post-dinner drink with amazing views of Barcelona. I literally can't say enough about this hotel, it was one of my favourite hotels I've ever visited, and I've visited a lot. Highly recommend!

H10 Madison is a delightful, classy, small-ish hotel in the old Gothic part of Barcelona. We loved it from the check-in with welcome glass of bubbly, to the clean and (for Europe) spacious room, and the proximity to many other parts of Barcelona. The staff was friendly, breakfast was delicious and having drinks and snacks on the rooftop was a special treat. We would come back in a flash if we could from Australia. It is not cheap but it is excellent. Thank you H10 Madison you made our first stay in Barcelona so special.

I cant say enough good things about this hotel. First of all the location is exactly where you would want to be in Barcelona, the heart of the gothic quarter. Decor and cleanliness are excellent, good sized rooms with a fridge, coffee machine and large TV. Our room had a small balcony with a table and chairs. Room was cleaned and restocked daily. We asked for a mattress topper and kettle which were waiting for us when we arrived back after a walk. The rooftop bar serves food and drink with spectacular views of the city. There is also a heated pool and sun lounges. Only 1 English TV channel and thats BBC news.
