H10 Berlin Ku'damm, Berlin

Hotel review From walking into the H10 it was apparent we had chosen the correct hotel. Lobby was gleaming and all staff welcoming with a smile and hello. Check in was smooth and the man who was dealing with us (I didnt get his name from his name tag but he is Italian with dark hair) was professional and warm. He provided us with a map of the city with transport help informing us of the app for the subway and how it works, recommendations of food sports nearby which was most helpful and covered all aspects of the amenities within our room. We had booked the deluxe double but was upgraded to the apartment and it was phenomenal - spacious and has everything you could possibly need as well as being spotlessly clean. We had a fantastic stay at the H10 and would highly recommend to anyone travelling to the city.

We had a lovely 3 night stay. Its spotlessly clean , the staff helpful and the room was comfortable and quiet ( overlooking the central courtyard which we had requested ). It is in a nice area with an underground station and the train for the airport 5 minutes walk away. Other than our tea and coffee not being stocked up by housekeeping we literally cant find fault. Highly recommended and value for money.

The hotel is great! Modern, clean, bright and in a good area. Rooms are comfortable and nice. The staff at reception are friendly, polite and able to help you in a lot of different languages. Breakfast is good but a bit expensive if you are the kind of person that just wants a cup of coffee and a toast with eggs to start your day. Room for improvement : 1. More sockets. There was one single free socket in our room and we had 3 mobiles, 1 kindle and 2 headphones to charge. 2. Even though we left our towels hanging as is usually done when you dont have the need to have them replaced, we received new ones every day and ended up with a pile of clean towels in the end of our stay. Sustainability needs to go both ways. 3. We had breakfast at the hotel on our first morning. The buffet is great with ample food to choose from. It would have been great to have oat/soja/almond milk already available for people that do not drink cow milk. 4. Lastly and the main point for me was the staff talking nonstop to each other while replacing food and glasses at breakfast. I understand Spanish so I know they were not talking about their job but personal stuff while blocking guests from serving themselves. It happened 3 times in the 40 min I was there and it was the only part of my stay that was not pleasant. Overall it was a great experience and I will stay here again when in Berlin or somewhere else.

Chose the H10 in Berlin largely because our previous experience of H10 hotels elsewhere in Europe has been so positive. Im also a member of the H10 loyalty programme and have always felt well looked after. There were many positives to be flagged up at this hotel. Positives: Our Grand Deluxe Room was spacious and well equipped and maintained. Despite being close to the lift, it was very quiet; The hotel is well situated for transport including access to an underground station immediately adjacent to the hotel; Close to good shopping and eating options. Area for improvement: What let this hotel down was its breakfast arrangements. I dont think you can beat the range and quality of the breakfast at the H10 London Waterloo and the staff there who are always so friendly and helpful, keen to ensure you have everything you need. So I have high expectations! However, the breakfast room at this hotel was always chaotic and disorganised, nobody seemed to be in charge and directing the staff, who sadly appeared to be disinterested and most presented as being pretty unhappy. As a result, tables were not cleared, food was not regularly replenished. All the cooked food was on a hot plate, which is never ideal, but can be good if properly attended to. It wasnt until our last morning that I discovered that I could request a freshly cooked omelette. This was not advertised anywhere, it was just by chance that I saw another guest being served one and asked. Furthermore, there was limited fruit and pastries on offer. A huge disappointment. Overall our experience was a positive one and I would consider staying here again if I was visiting Berlin.
