H10 Hotels has opened its second hotel in Rome, the H10 Palazzo Galla, an exclusive establishment located next to Piazza Venezia, with 82 rooms and magnificent views of the city centre. It is a 4-star superior hotel with an unbeatable location in Rome's historic centre, in the rione of Trevi, a lively neighbourhood that is very close to the city's iconic monuments, such as the Roman Forum, Trajan's Column, Trevi Fountain and the famous Colosseum, making it a great option for exploring the Italian capital.
Its prime location allows visitors to enjoy both the historical wonders of Rome and the dynamic atmosphere of its famous streets, which feature a wide range of restaurants and shops. The emblem of this well-known neighbourhood, one of the most beloved by tourists and locals alike, is the famous Fontana di Trevi, one of the city's symbols. But travellers here will also find some of the most important monuments, archaeological sites and houses of worship in the city, such as the Palazzo Barberini, home to the National Gallery of Ancient Art, and the Fontana del Tritone by Bernini.
The H10 Palazzo Galla offers high-end facilities, including stylish rooms, a cosy lobby bar, a restaurant, a gym and a magnificent rooftop with panoramic views of the city, as well as two fully-equipped meeting rooms for all types of events.
The new establishment is housed in two buildings that have been joined and fully renovated. One of them is an up-scale building from the late 19th century, while the other is more modern, from the 1950s. The architectural project kept the exterior façade, giving both buildings a uniform colour scheme, and all the interior spaces were refurbished to turn it into a hotel.
While the building is beautiful to behold from the outside, the interior design of the hotel is even more so, and is inspired by the classic Roman style, incorporating contemporary elements that add elegance and personality to the spaces. This character is evident in the use of elements that make a clear reference to the city and its history, perfectly fused with the integration of fine materials such as marble, velvet and the satin brass of the decorative lamps.
For the interiors of the new H10 Palazzo Galla, a wide range of colours was used and, although there is no predominant tone in the hotel's different spaces, the lobby and rooms are resplendent in their Pompeiian red, which adds a special charm to the rooms by harkening back to the Roman past.
A large glazed door welcomes guests, providing access to the cosy hall that houses reception and is presided over by an elegant table with a white marble surface and comfortable armchairs where they can check in, sitting and relaxed, as well as an impressive painting by Fornasetti depicting Baroque Rome. Opposite reception is the Lobby Bar Massimo, where guests can enjoy a coffee or cocktails and snacks in a peaceful setting.
In this same space, adjacent to the lobby, there is an elegant seating area with sofas and low tables, Carrara and Bardiglio marble floors, bookshelves and a fireplace, ideal for relaxing at any time of day in a sophisticated and tranquil setting. There is a welcoming atmosphere in the building entrance area that envelops guests from the time they enter the hotel to make them feel at home.
On the same ground floor, accessible from the lobby, is the Lucio Restaurant. This is an elegant two-storey space with picture windows that let that typical morning light of Rome flood the restaurant during the breakfast service. In this space, the wallpaper decorating some of the walls, one of them green with golden peacocks, and another powder pink with stylised feathers, accompanies the explosion of colour, wooden panels, mirrors and black-lacquered furniture.
The H10 Palazzo Galla has spacious, bright rooms outfitted with all the amenities and designed to create environments that combine elegance and serenity. All the rooms face the street, and most of them boast spectacular views of the city. The interior design combines classic elements with more contemporary details that immerse guests in a relaxed and timeless atmosphere. A standout feature is the beds, with dual headboards in two shades, as well as a print of an old Roman aqueduct housed in a circular frame. All of this contrasts with the naturalistic effect on some of the walls of the room, covered with paper featuring plant motifs.
The various rooms at the H10 Palazzo Galla include the comfortable and bright Venezia Superior Rooms, with stunning views of Piazza Venezia. There are also Corner Junior Suites, spacious corner rooms with picture windows to let in an abundance of natural light, and that also offer beautiful views of the city. And then there is the Colosseo Terrace Suite, located on the top floor and consisting of a 42 m2 room with a bedroom and living area, creating two separate spaces, both with a furnished terrace and spectacular views of the Colosseum and the city. The establishment also has two Panoramic Venezia Grand Terrace Rooms, which boast a huge corner terrace overlooking the Piazza Venezia and the iconic domes of the city of Rome.
The H10 Palazzo Galla has a bright and elegant restaurant that serves breakfast, offering everything from a complete buffet to hot dishes à la carte. The Lucio Restaurant also offers guests original Italian cappuccinos and espressos to make the breakfast experience even more enjoyable, all in a welcoming designer atmosphere.
The ground floor is home to the Massimo Lobby Bar, a pleasant space where you can enjoy a coffee or a cocktail and snack in an elegant atmosphere.
On the top floor of the hotel is one of the jewels of this establishment: the spectacular Traiano Rooftop Bar, with breathtaking views of Rome, making it the ideal space to unwind after a day in the city.
The Traiano Rooftop Bar is the perfect setting to enjoy surprising signature cocktails and one of the best panoramic views of the city in a peaceful and exclusive setting. This space is open to the public.
The H10 Palazzo Galla has two naturally lit meeting rooms that are fully equipped for both work meetings and private events. Both rooms are separately accessible from the street via an entrance flanked by two columns and a balcony over the door, very characteristic of historic buildings in the city and honouring its tradition. The hotel's rooftop, with panoramic views of the city, is also ideal for hosting private cocktail parties and coffee breaks.
The hotel has free Wi-Fi in all spaces, as well as parking for guests. Rounding out the facilities is a modern gym equipped with weights, stationary and elliptical bikes, a treadmill, dumbbells and other equipment.
