Ocean Blue & Sand, Punta Cana

I was a bit worried after reading the reviews but let me tell you, we are glad we followed through. Let me give a break down of our stay: Check in: check in at the privilege reception was longer than at the regular reception and I was very annoyed with this. Room: We booked the privilege Jr Suite and it was beautiful. The room was clean, the air conditioning cold and I loved the bottle of wine and macarons that was put out for us. The toiletries provided were great and really appreciated. With the privilege room you are given toothbrushes, toothpaste and shaving supplies so no need to bring those. I was in love with the Jacuzzi. The water was hot and it was very relaxing. Grounds: the grounds are quite large, needing gulf carts to get from one end to the other. It can be a bit time consuming having to wait for one. The grounds are pristine and the maintenance staff does an excellent job in keeping everything beautiful. Food: the food was surprisingly good. The Villa Marina buffet is excellent for lunch, the main buffet for breakfast and the Japanese restaurant for dinner. There was a large variety and if you are vegetarian, you'll find lots of options as well. I loved the ice cream parlour and the many bars available. We always had enough to eat and drink. The liquor was quite a bit watered down but I was happy for this as I am not an experienced drinker. Entertainment: The entertainment is the best I've ever experienced. Hubby even won a prize during one of the beach activities. I loved how they tried to get everyone involved. I'm very introverted but found myself participating in the daily activities. The blue team is amazing! Staff: The butler assigned to our room was Harry and he wasn't very helpful tbh. We never met him throughout our stay. It wasn't a big deal however as other staff were willing to help us at every turn. The staff was very friendly. We were always greeted with a hello or Hola. We never had to tip in order to be served at the bar. Our flight was at 7:35PM and we requested a late check out. The staff was very helpful in allowing us to check out later and went out of their way to assure us that we are welcomed to use the facilities until we left. My only complaint was the constant solicitation on the beach, front lobby every where. It can get very annoying with someone trying to sell you something at every turn. Beach: multiple bars located on the beach. The beach was always crowded and it can be difficult to get a beach chair. Again, the staff was very helpful in removing towels from chairs that were not being used so we could sit. The sea was really rough but I found it enjoyable. Lots of activities happening on the beach so plenty of entertainment throughout the day. BEWARE, PLEASE BRING YOUR INSECT REPELLANT. My spouse was bitten quite a bit by dnad flies and had to go to the Dr's office on the beach. They were very helpful and gave him some anti itch cream. Overall our experience was great. We will be back!

Was a great stay service is phenomenal such a beautiful location the blue crew that goes around is always so energetic and having a great time. Would always have a smile on their faces, food was way above our expectations. Would highly recommend staying here, shout-out to Ranger, Shaggy, Scooby Doo and Pokémon for making our stay special, and making us feel like we were always apart of the show and community here, love it will come back!

Such a great time! The staff and environment was the best! Entertainment team made the trip, especially Ranger, Shaggy and Pokémon! Highly recommend especially and to those looking for a variety of food options and activities. We will definitely be coming back!

Ocean blue and Sand was a great resort! Everybody was extremely nice and the service at the bars and the restaurants were amazing! The food was really good and Had an amazing time with my new wife ! The staff was amazing. Ranger (will smith) did an amazing job!

We stayd 10 days in Punta Cana at the Blue Ocean and Sand, Privilege, in April 2024. This is not our first time, we keep coming back. Why same place? The reason is that we love this resort, the staff, from house keeping all the way to the management including the Pivilage Manager. Over many years we've seen the respect and friendship amongst the staff, the leadership of head of department and the warm relationship between him and his team. We know we are not the only regular visitors, each visit we see staff greeting people like old friends. This time our flight home was delayed for 6 hours. We called manager, Victor, and asked for help to reorganize our depatrure arrangements and our private transportation to the airport. We don't speak spanish and our ability to communicate to the transportation company was next to none. It was amazing how fast everything was organized and we were back to the beach instead of waiting at the airport for 6 hours. His staff was so great and made every effort to make us comfortable and worry free. When time came for us to leave, Victor and our amazing batler Eloy, were there to say goodbye and to see us safe and sound leaving the resort. We cannot recommend the Ocean Blue and Sand highly enough. This is our experience, everyone is diferent with their expectations and needs and for us all credit goes to exceptional customer service, with a commitment to making our stay comfortable and very enjoyable. Although we're been many times in diferent resorts in DR this is the place we love and plan to come back again.
